Kicking off the new year with a vision for progress, the Governor of Imo State, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma, embarked on an inspiring journey across the state, spotlighting transformative projects that define his administration.
Among the tour’s highlights was an impactful inspection visit to the Ministry of Digital Economy and E-Government, where he evaluated the progress of the iconic Imo Digital City—a groundbreaking initiative set to revolutionize the state’s digital and economic landscape.
Accompanied by senior government officials and prominent stakeholders, including Nnamdi Anyaehie, Chief of Staff; Hon. Declan Emelumba, Commissioner for Information, Public Orientation, and Strategy; other commissioners; Special Advisers; and key government functionaries, the Governor’s visit accentuates his resolve to ensure that this avant-garde initiative firmly establishes Imo State as a beacon of digital innovation and economic transformation.
Fondly dubbed the state’s Silicon Valley, the Imo Digital City is being developed to position Imo as a global player in the burgeoning digital economy.
During the inspection, Governor Uzodinma toured the sprawling environmental developments within the digital city. He evaluated the cutting-edge, digitally equipped learning facilities, meticulously designed to cater to the digital aspirations of Imo State’s populace.
These facilities encompass high-tech classrooms, innovation hubs, and co-working spaces, all outfitted with state-of-the-art tools and resources aimed at cultivating the next generation of digital experts.
The city further boasts accelerators designed to inspire creativity and drive start-up growth, resembling a sophisticated computer village where innovation flourishes.

Let’s Talk TV,” a dynamic television and online platform that bridges the streets of Imo with the global stage.
Housed within the 3R Digital Learning Facility, the “Let’s Talk TV” studio serves as a vibrant hub for talk shows, interviews, and various media outreach programs.
This platform empowers both the public and private sectors to amplify their narratives and connect with broader audiences. The Governor lauded the Ministry for its forward-thinking efforts in establishing such an influential tool for communication and engagement.
Expressing profound satisfaction with the strides made on the Imo Digital City project, Governor Uzodinma commended the Honourable Commissioner for Digital Economy and E-Government, Dr. Chimezie Amadi, and the Ministry’s dedicated staff for their exemplary oversight and commitment to excellence.
This project is a luminous demonstration of what is achievable when vision converges with dedication. The Imo Digital City, our very own Silicon Valley, will revolutionize our economy and elevate our state to prominence on the global digital landscape.
